Terms of Use
By using Lumivaro you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app.
1. Service description
Lumivaro provides tools to write, record, resolve conflicts for, review, and export audio description so recipients can play a described video without installing a special app.
- The app does not automatically recognize people, objects, or scenes.
- The app does not generate description for you, and does not certify any accessibility standard or quality grade.
- Description quality and comprehension are judged by you and your recipients.
2. Device account
No phone number or email is required. A device account signs in with a random device identity and is used only for structured workspace sync. It is not a verified identity or a social account across devices.
3. Sign-in, sign-out, and deletion
- Sign-in: after accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy, you may sign in and sync your workspace.
- Sign-out: ends the current device session and stops automatic sync without deleting local projects or the online workspace; signing in again restores access.
- Delete account: deletes online workspaces for that identity, retires the device identity, and clears the local sandbox. The platform does not provide an API to delete an empty auth subject. Shared or saved copies elsewhere are unaffected.
4. Content rights and acceptable use
You must have the right to process the related video, audio, and text. Do not use the app to create or distribute unlawful content or content that infringes others’ rights. Practice material that is not yours must have appropriate authorization and source records.
5. Free features
This version has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, coins, or store screens. Personal projects, recording, export, backup, practice, and structured workspace sync are free.
6. Permissions and data boundaries
Using related features means you understand the app may request these system permissions when you act (dialog text matches the system prompt):
- Photo Library (read): “Allow choosing a personal video for audio description and selecting an avatar photo.”
- Photo Library (add): “Allow saving the described video back to Photos.”
- Camera: “Allow camera access to capture a new video for audio description.”
- Microphone: “Allow microphone access to record your own audio description.”
You may refuse any permission and still use alternate paths such as blank projects, text editing, or system share. Narration take files and exported films stay on device by default. After sign-in, nickname, public avatar URL, projects, cue text, practice progress, and source-video public URLs may be stored by the service (avatars and source videos use signed direct upload). See the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent allowed by law, the service provider is not liable beyond legal requirements for losses caused by network outages, device failure, third-party platform unavailability, or content you delete or share yourself. Please use local backup regularly.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. The latest version is available from the in-app policy links.
